Introduction
Ohio is more than just a Midwestern state. It also has a lot of cool attractions that every traveler should see. Whether you want to be entertained at an amusement park or history museum, Ohio has it all!
Ohio State University
Ohio State University (OSU) is the largest university in the US. It has more than 50,000 students, including some of the best athletes in the country. The school has a lot of research facilities and is well-known for its sports teams.
Cedar Point Amusement Park
Cedar Point Amusement Park is the home of some of the fastest, tallest, and longest roller coasters in the world. It's also an amusement park with a water park, hotels and restaurants. And did we mention Cedar Point is located in Sandusky Ohio?
Cedar Point opened its gates in 1870 as a beach resort on Lake Erie. Today it has grown into an international destination with more than 300 acres of rides across seven different theme areas: Cedar Fair Amusement Parks/Six Flags Great Adventure/California’s Great America; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom; Knott’s Berry Farm; Kings Island; Michigan’s Adventure; Valleyfair!; Canada’s Wonderland.*
Plus two more parks coming soon!

National Museum of the United States Air Force & Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park
The Wright Brothers Memorial is another great place to visit. It's located just outside of Dayton, Ohio, and is a shrine to the Wright brothers—Orville and Wilbur—who were born in Ohio. The memorial sits on the grounds of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and contains a museum with many artifacts related to aviation history.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force & Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is yet another must-visit site if you're planning on traveling through Ohio's Fifth District. This museum houses military planes from both World War II and today as well as other historical artifacts related to aviation history, including flight records from famous pilots like Charles Lindbergh. The park itself sits on the grounds of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton and offers free admission daily (excluding holidays).
There are some very cool places to visit in Ohio
Ohio has a lot of cool things to see and do. You can visit places like the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Cedar Point Amusement Park, and Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Ohio is also known for its rich musical history with artists like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Kid Rock all hailing from the state.
If you're an aviation buff then there are plenty of aviation-related sites to see in Ohio. The Wright Brothers National Memorial is dedicated to Wilbur and Orville Wright who were two important figures in early aviation history due to their successful flights at Kitty Hawk North Carolina on December 17th 1903. Also nearby is their home base which was used for research into flight control systems during World War I when planes used engine power alone instead of propellers/rotors like helicopters do today!
The United States Military's Wright Patterson Air Force Base located just south west from Dayton was named after these brothers so if you enjoy military museums then this should be high on your list too!
Conclusion
I hope you get a chance to visit Ohio and check out some of the places I’ve mentioned here. There are many more amazing sites to see, but these are some of my favorites from my travels around the state.
