Introduction
If you're looking for a beautiful place to visit, look no further than Nevada. Nevada is home to many beautiful tourist destinations including Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Las Vegas. I'm sure you've heard of Las Vegas, but there are other places in Nevada that I think are just as beautiful! Reno is located just outside Lake Tahoe and has breathtaking views of the mountains with its downtown area being right along the river. If you have never been to Reno before I highly recommend visiting it at least once while enjoying what this city has to offer!
Reno
Reno is the largest city in Nevada and was originally a small town of mostly gold rush settlers. Today it's known as "The Biggest Little City in the World" and has a population of about 235,000 people. It's located near Lake Tahoe in the center of the state, surrounded by mountains that provide numerous recreational opportunities like hiking and skiing.
Reno offers plenty to do, including gambling at more than 70 casinos (including some world-famous ones), shopping at outlet malls, eating at amazing restaurants or trying out one of their museums (the Nevada State Museum). The downtown area has several historic buildings worth visiting including those which are over 150 years old! If you're into arts & culture then check out one of their annual festivals such as Burning Man Festival held annually during Labor Day weekend with live music performances by top artists around Nevada & California area who come together once per year on playa where there are no rules except respect yourself/each other/earth itself so come prepared!
Las Vegas
Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world. It's home to numerous world-class casinos and hotels that attract millions of visitors each year. The Strip is 4.2 miles long, lined with neon lights and filled with some of the most exciting attractions in Las Vegas. If you're planning a trip to Las Vegas, make sure you add it to your itinerary!
Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a natural lake nestled between Nevada and California. It's connected to the Pacific Ocean by the Truckee River, but because of its altitude (6,225 feet above sea level) it's actually salt-free. Located just south of Lake Tahoe is Lake Tahoe City, which offers several attractions for travelers looking to explore this area.
If you love mountain views and outdoor activities, this is definitely an ideal spot for you! The lake itself offers tons of opportunities for fishing or boating—and if you're lucky enough to visit during springtime when wildflowers are in bloom? You'll have access to some beautiful scenery that will make your trip worthwhile.
One thing we can't forget about Lake Tahoe: It's home to several ski resorts! With more than 400 runs spread throughout three major areas (Northstar California Resort & Spa; Heavenly Valley Ski Resort & Casino; Kirkwood Mountain Resort), there's no shortage of fun things happening here throughout winter months—including après ski parties at numerous casinos located nearby (including Harrah's Lake Tahoe Hotel Casino).
Carson City
Located in the western part of Nevada, Carson City is the capital of the state and has a population of about 55,000 people. It’s also home to Historic Markers, which are posted throughout town identifying historic sites and buildings.
The city was established in 1858 with just 200 residents living on 40 acres of land bought by William Stewart from Mexicans who had moved into California after gold was discovered there. The original name for the town was Fort Churchill but it changed when it became a county seat in 1864 due to its proximity to Carson River where boats passed through regularly on their way between Sacramento and Virginia City.
