Introduction

Indiana is a beautiful state, and it's filled with many natural wonders that make it worth visiting. In this post, I'll share my favorite places to visit in Indiana.

Brown County State Park

Located in Brown County, Indiana and open year-round, this park features camping, hiking and biking trails, a nature center and other amenities. The park has over 25 miles of trails that wind through the forested areas. You can enjoy horseback riding as well as fishing on Lake Wawasee. There are also several cabins available for rent throughout the year with electricity or without it—depending on your needs!

During autumn you'll be able to find excellent fall colors here and during winter they offer snowmobiling so you can have an awesome time no matter what time of year it may be!

Clifty Falls State Park

Clifty Falls State Park is a state park in Indiana, United States. Clifty Falls State Park is located near Madison, Indiana, and is one of the most visited parks in the state. Clifty Falls State Park has a variety of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Visitors can enjoy fishing on Lake James or at one of many ponds and lakes throughout the park. Hikers may take advantage of several scenic trails including an interpretive nature trail and a multi-use loop trail that connects with other trails in the area such as those leading to Lawrence County's newest attraction—the "Waterfall Trail" along with several other nearby attractions like Turkey Run State Park (Indiana), Cushman Lake State Recreation Area (Indiana), McCormick's Creek National Wildlife Refuge & Nature Preserve (Indiana).

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore

The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is one of the largest sand dune formations in the world. It's also a national park and offers visitors an opportunity to hike, play, and relax amidst some of the last remaining vestiges of authentic Great Lakes coastal forest. A nature center with exhibits and education programs awaits you if you'd like to learn more about this unique ecosystem.

McCormick's Creek State Park

McCormick's Creek State Park is a beautiful park with a stream, waterfall and hiking trails. If you are looking for an easy day trip from Indianapolis, this is the place to go.

The park has an historic lodge, cabins and campground. It is open year round but there may not be any water flowing in the creek depending on the weather conditions. There is a fee to enter the park which can be paid at their website or upon arrival at their office located inside of McCormick's Creek State Park itself!
